NRCDV is energized and inspired by the recent appointment of Farzana Safiullah as our new CEO (left), whose vision centers transformation both for NRCDV and the larger movement of activists and advocates committed to social and racial justice. Farzana is a community organizer, a founding member and co-leader of the Muslim Advocacy Network Against Domestic Violence, and a compassionate and visionary leader. She builds bridges across movements and believes in shared leadership. Farzana understands the power of relationships and trust and as such, engages in community building within NRCDV. She is particularly invested in expanding the prevention efforts of NRCDV, deepening intervention strategies in collaboration with local communities, and advancing NRCDV’s policy priorities that center the voices of marginalized survivors while keeping sight of our core mission - to strengthen and transform efforts to end domestic violence.
